Female Lawyers’ Club is a confidential, senior-only community for women in law. We share what works, open doors for each other, and make it easier to build a career that is both rewarding and sustainable.

Why Female Lawyers’ Club exists

OUR STORY

THE PURPOSE

Law is still structured in ways that make senior progression harder for women than it should be. Whilst we join the profession in equal numbers, the number of women in leadership roles remains disproportionately low.

FLC exists to change that by giving senior women a trusted network and the practical support to make better decisions, protect capacity, and grow their practices on their own terms.

Why I started it

After two decades in employment law, I kept meeting women who had done everything right in their careers and yet had still hit ceilings, or who had left the profession entirely.

When I left a traditional firm to build my own practice, within months I was busier and better paid, which clarified the real issue: the problem was never me. It was the system. I couldn’t find a private community where we could talk candidly about fees, business development and the realities of senior practice, a place to share knowledge and best practice for the benefit of all. So I created it.

What FLC is

A private forum
where senior peers
share what works

Higher value
instructions and better
pricing conversations

Clearer boundaries,
with fewer low value
interruptions

Support to make
their next chapter both
ambitious and
sustainable

A professional membership designed for senior women in law who want:

How it works

Inside you’ll find an active senior peer forum, visiting expert sessions on pricing, business development, client strategy and leadership, regular goal setting with light accountability, and a focused resource library on time, team and client management.

Everything is built to fit a senior lawyer’s week: concise, applied, and respectful of capacity.

Impact

Female Lawyers’ Club exists to make senior practice more sustainable for women in law. Inside, members compare notes on fees and scope, sense check strategy off the record, and get the kind of peer input that’s hard to access inside a firm.

Our aim is straightforward: help more women stay, progress and shape the profession, with peers who can actually help them do it.

About Rachel

Female Lawyers’ Club is founded and led by practising solicitor and Employment Partner Rachel Spink. Rachel has worked in employment law for over twenty years, built her own practice, and writes regularly on the realities of senior progression, pay and the invisible pressures women face in law. She created FLC to give senior women the room she couldn’t find: confidential, candid, and commercially useful.
